Crockpot Chicken Thighs Slow Honey Garlic Recipe:
While lean chicken breasts and quick cook are convenient for family meals, they can’t beat chicken thighs because of their taste, juice, and price. Chicken thighs retain their great flavor and tenderness even when cooked for several hours in a slow cooker, while chicken breasts can become very dry and tough.
As with most slow chicken recipes, it is generally not necessary to stir the chicken before adding it to the ceramic. However, the browning of the chicken, especially if the skin is not removed, can add flavor, color, and texture. If you have time, take the whole chicken in a small amount of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
With a bone running through the middle of the chicken thighs, it is easy to remove. Simply make cuts on both sides of the bone and remove them while scraping off any meat that may stick.
If you don’t cook with chicken drumsticks frequently, recipes for the clay pot will make it safe.
Lay chicken thighs into the bottom of a 4-quart slow cooker.
Whisk soy sauce, ketchup, honey, garlic, and basil together in a bowl; pour over the chicken.
Cook on Low for 6 hours.
